About
I am a Dutch children's book and editorial illustrator living in the hilly part of the Netherlands near the Belgian and German border – also known as the Dutch mountains ;-).
I was born and raised in Kerkrade and grew up in a artistic and musical family.
After secondary school I went to the music academy. But, after 2 years of sketching on music sheets it was obvious that, although I really love making music, it was best to change plans and to follow the advice my primary schoolteacher gave me. Doing a major in Art.
I received a major in illustration and graphic design. and soon after graduating I started working as a graphic Designer and illustrator.
At the moment I work part-time as a graphic designer and freelance as an illustrator.
